US East Coast Dockworkers Potential Strike – Update #9
We are very relieved to advise you that – we were wrong!!!! The strike has been averted and was announced late last night.
The parities have come to an agreement which will provide for a renewal of the contract between the Longshoreman (the dockworkers) and the carriers who utilize the ports along the entire US East and Gulf coasts of the USA. While the agreement still requires ratification of all the members of the union, there is no reason to expect this will not be done at the next meeting.
Rest easy, all is well, and your precious cargo will continue to move unhindered.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
